Russell Watson Announced As Ted'S List Vocal Champion
  • Russell ‘The Voice’ Watson awarded prestigious title of ‘Ted’s List Vocal Champion’
  • He has sold over 7 million albums worldwide, making him one of the UK’s best-selling classical artists.
  • He was presented with the award, a poo emoji squashy toy.

Ted’s List, the leading resource on the internet for musical instrument reviews and advice, has announced that renowned tenor Russell Watson has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Ted’s List Vocal Champion’. Watson, known for his powerful and emotive performances, was recognised for his exceptional talent and contributions to the world of music.

“Russell Watson is a true master of his craft,” said spokesman Robert Emery, founder of Ted’s List. “His incredible voice and stage presence have captivated audiences around the world, and we are thrilled to honour him with this award.”

Watson, who has been performing for over 20 years, released a humorous video, with Emery presenting the award; a poo emoji squashy toy.  Watson says, “I’ve received many awards in my lifetime and career,  but this one has, excuse the pun, trumped the lot!”

Although the video is clearly two friends having fun, Watson does have a serious message at the end, “Music education is crucial for the development of young minds,” Watson said. “It teaches discipline, creativity, and teamwork, and can have a profound impact on a child’s life.”

In addition to his music career, Watson is also a strong advocate for music education. He has spoken out about the importance of music in schools and has supported several music education initiatives throughout his career.

To celebrate Watson’s achievement, Ted’s List has published a special feature on their website, highlighting some of his most memorable performances and providing insights into his unique vocal style. The feature also includes an exclusive interview with Watson, in which he shares his thoughts on the state of music education and offers advice to aspiring musicians.

“I believe that music is a universal language that has the power to bring people together,” Watson said in the interview. “Whether you’re a professional musician or just starting out, it’s important to stay true to yourself and never give up on your dreams.”
