Playing the Drums can be brilliant fun, but starting to learn an instrument from the very beginning can be a bit scary. The two most essential elements of learning a musical instrument are conflicting ideas, and that’s what makes them so interesting.
Research
Firstly, you must do your research. Read some Acoustic Drums Reviews. Find out what Drums are going to be best for your personal situation, and get the very best kit you can afford to buy.
Then if you can, do more research about methods of learning; two crucial areas to cover are:
- Self-taught VS finding a teacher
- What accessories will make your learning easier and more effective
This research should give you the confidence to start playing. Just remember though, it’s easy to fall into the trap of doing too much research. Spending too long finding information is a form of procrastination.
So what is the opposite of research?
Jumping In.
With the research behind you, just sit down at your drum kit, and jump into hitting things!
