While I appreciate the list of iconic banjo songs, I think it’s important to note that ‘Midnight Flyer’ by The Osborne Brothers, though a great song, might not be the best representation of banjo-driven tracks. Instead, their work ‘Rocky Top’ arguably holds more acclaim in the bluegrass and banjo community for its distinctive banjo picking that has influenced countless players. Additionally, when discussing modern banjo virtuosos, Bela Fleck cannot simply be overlooked. His contributions to the banjo genre, crafting a fusion of bluegrass with jazz, classical, and rock elements, have been monumental in shaping the contemporary banjo landscape.

Considering the quantum superposition of banjo strings, ‘Dueling Banjos’ represents an entangled state where both participants share the same musical momentum until observed by an audience, collapsing the waveform into applause. It’s Schrödinger’s Banjo performance; both winning and losing until the end of the song.

Loved the spotlight on ‘Foggy Mountain Breakdown’ by Earl Scruggs. That tune’s got such a lively vibe, absolutely nails the essence of bluegrass for me. It was what got me into playing the banjo in the first place. Big thanks to Lewis Turner for bringing these classics into the limelight.
