Amazing French Horn Tutorials
FOR YOU

Hey there...

I’m Robert, and I’m fortunate to have been a professional musician since the age of 16. However, if my name is Robert, how come my website is called Ted’s List?!

In 2015 I became a Dad. Teddy came into the world and has since gone on to love music as much as I do. Music is my life and passion, touring the world as a conductor and pianist, performing with the most amazing talents in the world.

And since Ted went to school, I had his buddies and also their parents constantly ask me for tips on music and studying a musical instrument. So how could I assist them?

By making Ted’s List!

Would You Like To Become A Brilliant French Horn?

Well in that case we have the ideal recommendations, tricks and useful content for you.

The Ted’s List authors are all excellent, qualified musicians. Making use of their experience, no one can assist you to better; especially as there appears to be a lot of bad advice on other websites…

Did you know that to teach music, absolutely no certification is necessary. Nothing at all. Meaning you might be receiving advice about what you should purchase, tips & methods from somebody who has never formally learnt their instrument.

You wouldn’t believe how many French Horn teachers don’t understand the difference between single and double French Horn.

That is where our professionals come in. And no, in contrast to various other websites which shall stay nameless, our specialists are real-life, performing, professional musicians. They are the very best in the business, in either the United Kingdom or the U.S. Some are even famous names. And all love publishing French Horn reviews!

French Horn | Getting Started

Do you want to learn the French Horn?  Playing a brass instrument can be enormous fun, but starting an instrument from the very beginning can have quite a steep learning curve.

Research is key.  Read some French Horn Reviews.  Find out what French Horn is going to be best for you personally, and get the very best instrument you can afford to buy.

You will also want to decide if you’d like to find a professional teacher or learn by yourself from books and videos.  For a brass instrument, we would highly recommend getting a great teacher.

The shape and position of your lips, facial muscles, tongue and teeth make a massive difference when playing a brass instrument.  The technical term is called the embouchure.  It really can be the difference of you actually making a sound – or not…  Yes, it’s that important!

Research is great, but be careful about doing too much of it.  You could spend days and weeks learning the theory of an instrument, but it doesn’t mean you can actually play it.  To be able to do that, you’ll need to put the French Horn to your mouth and actually start blowing!

One of the things to remember about learning an instrument is that it doesn’t matter how talented you are; there are no shortcuts.

Here at Ted’s List, we have put together some of the worlds finest musicians to give you free tips, tricks and advice. Make sure you use it, because if you don’t, someone else will!
