Summary

Pianoforall is a comprehensive program that can teach you the basics of playing the piano relatively quickly.

Are there better programs out there?

Yes. In all honestly, there are better tutorials.

But I would still recommend it.

Why?

Well, For somewhere between $49 and $79, you can get going on learning the piano. It’s a very low-cost, safe and secure way to start. And I like that!

It won’t make you the next worldwide concert pianist – but it’s not trying to either.

And for this reason, I actually love this program and am very happy to recommend it.  See their website here.

The chord-based approach is great for those who want to learn how to play by ear and improvise rather than focusing solely on reading sheet music.

The course is designed to be self-directed so that you can learn piano at your own pace and on your own schedule.

The program suits adults and motivated teens but may not be best for younger children or those who prefer a more traditional piano lessons. With over 450,000 students, Pianoforall has a large and enthusiastic community of learners who can provide support and encouragement.

The course is affordable and has a 60-day money-back guarantee to try it out risk-free.

So, if you’re looking for a fun and accessible way to learn how to play the piano, Pianoforall is worth considering. Its unique approach, comprehensive curriculum, and supportive community make it a great choice for beginners and intermediate players.

Give it a try!

Wait, there’s more!!!

Yes, Pianoforall is worth it for those who want to learn how to play piano in a fun and accessible way and are interested in a chord-based approach to jazz piano that emphasizes improvisation and playing by ear.

What is the difference between piano for all and playground sessions?

Pianoforall is a self-directed program that uses a chord-based approach to teach piano, while Playground Sessions is a more traditional, interactive program that uses video lessons and gamification. Is online piano class worth it?

Yes, online piano classes can be worth it for those who want to learn how to play the piano from the comfort of their own home, on their own schedule, and at their own pace. Online classes can also be more affordable than traditional in-person lessons, offering a wider range of options for learners of all levels.

Just gotta say, the improvisation section? Mind-blowing 😄 I’ve always been kinda scared of trying to improvise, thinking it’s only for the ‘real’ musicians. But the way Pianoforall breaks it down makes it feel so doable. Big thanks to Robert Emery for pointing this out in the review. It’s like unlocking a whole new level of playing for me!

Wow, another online piano course promising the moon. How original. Maybe if I squint hard enough, I’ll magically turn into Mozart. Has anyone actually learned to play a full piece with this, or is it just the same 3 chords over and over?

I’m always on the lookout for comprehensive online piano courses to recommend to my students. The curriculum section on Pianoforall seems to cover a broad range of necessary skills. However, I’m particularly interested in how the course approaches the teaching of music theory and sight-reading. Are these areas addressed in a manner that would be suitable for absolute beginners? Insight from anyone who’s gone through the course would be helpful.

Has anyone experimented with the recommended digital pianos for beginners in conjunction with the Pianoforall course? I’m curious whether the touch sensitivity and weighted keys of a specific model significantly impact the learning curve. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, PianoPat92. A good digital piano with weighted keys can make a huge difference in how you develop your technique, especially with dynamics. I’ve found Yamaha models to be quite beginner-friendly for this.
